MERCHANDISE
REVIEWS
Michael Kuchwara, AP
" ... Hubie is played by the brilliant
clown Nathan Lane, a worthy successor to the show's original star."
Ben Brantley, New York Times
" ... Lane struts, sashays and swaggers through the
evening with the warming, buttery confidence of a man unconditionally in his
natural element."
Donald Lyons, New York Post
" ... [Lane] is a musical-comedy genius in the tradition of Bert Lahr and Phil Silvers,
the original Hubie."
Aileen Jacobson, Newsday
" Here’s a man who makes over-the-top adorable. And his
role as the cuddly small-time gangster Hubie Cram in “Do Re Mi” ... is his cup of tea.
John Simon, New York Magazine
"... the show really belongs to Nathan Lane, whose Hubie sings, dances, and acts consummately, and mugs even better than that.
