Do you feel NBC is not giving Encore!Encore! a fair shake? They couldn't help the baseball playoff preempting, but putting a rerun of Jesse on instead of airing a new Encore! Encore!? So much for attempting to build an audience.
Whatever your views are (I'm happy to share mine with you), if you feel strongly about this show, please let NBC know how you feel. It is better to put pen to paper and lick a stamp to make your position known, but a follow-up email or phone call couldn't hurt.

My Own Humble Opinion
Dear NBC: This show has an unbelievable cast and staff. Why hasn't it worked? If it is the premise, and I think it is, don't be afraid to change it! Don't squander the talent (not to mention the more than a couple $mil) you have invested.
How about Nathan as an out of work actor in New York City who is very witty and sexually ambiguous? Why plod along with a problem premise ... be bold enough to admit you're wrong and fix it.
Wouldn't this work:
And tonight, on a Very Special Encore! Encore!, Joe tires of trying to fit into the Nappa Valley scene and, throwing his ascot and his accent to the wind, announces "I will go to New York, live as a New Yorker, talk like a New Yorker, finding work as I can on the Off-Broadway stage, being amazed and simultaneously befuddled by the gamut of quirky Manhattan characters I meet along the way." And tune in next week when Leo announces "I'm changing my name back to Gus and I'm going to New York with Joe. I think we might work well together."
